I’m not a huge fan of writing about myself for several reasons. First, I don’t want to put myself on an unwarranted pedestal by accident. Second, I don’t really want people to know how I perceive myself. Third, deciding what might be interesting to other people is pretty difficult. Either way, you can probably figure out more about me by reading my blog than you ever could by reading a silly biography, but I’ll try my best.
I’m Katie. Clearly. I have been writing since I can remember. I used to write silly fiction stories in my teens (NaNoWriMo, represent!), and have continued to write up until now, age 24. I graduated from Cal State Fullerton in January of 2011 with a degree in Journalism. I’m terrified that the industry is going out the door, though. I should probably give my wanderlust its own name because it has a mind of its own. I live in Brooklyn, NY.
Honestly, just find me around the internet (all over the place!) to get a feel for my interests:
I track the music I listen to on my Last.FM profile.
I rate every film I’ve ever seen on my Criticker profile.
I post the silly photos I take on my iPhone onto Tumblr.
I use my Twitter to keep up-to-date on my friends and to post notes about things I see throughout the day.
My LinkedIn account is for my more professional matters and networking, whereas my Facebook is for my friends.
I have a list of 101 goals I’d like to accomplish within 1001 days, or, by January 28th, 2015. You can check them out there, or on this blog itself.
